The Lynx R1 Pro is the first multipurpose standalone VR and AR headset in one device offering true mixed reality capabilities. The Lynx R1 Pro is equipped with all that is needed to either be used as a standalone VR headset as well as a standalone AR headset or both at the same time. Due to this is it ideal for a variety of use cases like remote assistance, visual guided instructions or tele operations.

Standalone Mixed Reality
First, the Lynx R1 Pro is a standalone Mixed Reality headset, what makes it unique is that it can also be used as a fully standalone VR headset or AR headset, easily switching between the different modes or both simultaneously in the same app. The VR mode can be enhanced using a magnetic facial cover which blocks out light. This has a huge benefit as this makes the Lynx R1 Pro highly versatile as your organisation can use it for multiple purposes because of its dual abilities. An added benefit of the Lynx R1 Pro is that the visor of the Lynx R1 Pro can be flipped up 90 degrees, allowing users to easily exit the XR experience and enter it.

Fourth, a lightweight design with 4-fold catadioptric freeform prism optics enables a lightweight face, this is as the smaller prism optics take up less space than for example fresnel or pancake lenses. A battery pack at the back of the headset enables weight to be distributed evenly creating a more comfortable viewing experience. This enables the device to be used for long periods with comfort.
Open Operating System

The Lynx has a specialized software that works with 2 external cameras to manage all the hand tracking. Furthermore the use of infra-red cameras allows the hand tracking to continue working with high accuracy in dark environments.
