Pico 4 Enterprise has the following advantages:
First, the Pico 4 Enterprise has a 4K+ display with a resolution of 4320 x 2160 pixels with a 90Hz refresh rate, making it one of the best displays in a standalone 6DOF VR. The 4K+ resolution provides a 35% better visual experience than that found on standard 4K displays while the saturation rate has been improved by 30% compared to the Neo 3 Pro. Along with this, the Pico 4 Enterprise has a Field of View of 105 degrees, which is higher than its predecessor the Pico Neo 3 Pro and the Meta Quest 2. The larger field of view with the improved display gives the Pico 4 Enterprise an outstanding immersive experience compared to other headsets.
Comfortable and lightweight
Second, the Pico 4 Enterprise has been built to be comfortable for extended periods of use. The Pico 4 uses innovative pancake lenses which has made the front of the device ⅓ the width of conventional VR headsets like the Meta Quest 2 and HTC Vive Focus 3. The device is therefore only 295 grams without the headband making it the lightest in its category & 100 grams lighter than the Pico Neo 3 Pro. Furthermore, the Pico 4 has excellent weight distribution, which reduces the strain on the front of your head, creating a more comfortable VR experience. The device is able to do this thanks to having the battery built into the back of the head strap, a hallmark of most Pico VR headsets.
Powerful processor
Third, the Pico 4 Enterprise is capable of handling some of the most immersive experiences and applications available in its class. The Pico 4 Enterprise comes equipped with the Snapdragon XR2 Chip, the best VR headset chip on the market. For reference this is the same chip found in the Oculus Quest 2, HTC Vive Focus 3 and Pico Neo 3 Pro. This will allow for programmes that were developed for the Pico Neo 3 Pro to run similarly on the Pico 4 Enterprise and more predictably.
Open Android operating system
Fourth, the Pico 4 Enterprise runs on an open Android operating system. This makes it possible to change certain properties specifically for enterprise use. Examples of these changes are things such as deactivating buttons or limiting user permissions (kiosk mode). As well as sideloading and using MDM’s.
No trackers or extra sensors required
Fifth, the Pico 4 Enterprise works with inside-out tracking thanks to five built-in external cameras and three internal cameras, meaning that no external trackers or sensors are needed for room-scale VR, a huge advancement to the Pico Neo 3 Pros four external trackers with no internal tracking. This reduces the number of hurdles and costs in the device set-up and implementation.
Integrated face and eye tracking
Sixth, The Pico 4 Enterprise is equipped with integrated eye tracking and face tracking, an upgrade over the Pico 4. This ensures that the headset knows what your eyes are focused on during the VR experience. As well as your facial expressions. This offers a huge amount of possibilities for interacting in virtual reality. For example, by focusing your eyes on something, predefined actions can be initiated, or with face tracking, social VR avatars can now become even more realistic taking VR worlds to the next level. Furthermore, controllers are not even needed with the Pico 4 Enterprise due to its native hand-tracking capabilities, something not found on the Neo 3 Pro. This allows for even more natural VR applications to be used and developed.
Valuable data capture
Seventh, the data can be obtained through eye and face tracking about what the users have looked at and reacted to during the experience. This allows important insights to be obtained about, for example, the effectiveness of a particular VR experience like a retail setup or a job interview simulator.
Mixed reality capabilities
Eighth, the Pico 4 Enterprise has full-colour passthrough capabilities, thanks to the new fifth 16MP RGB camera found on the front panel of the headset. This supports the upgrade of the Neo 3 Pro’s mono passthrough with colour passthrough. It allows users in VR experiences to not have to take off the headset to interact with the outside world. Furthermore, this can be used to create mixed-reality applications, so that digital objects can be integrated into the real world. This can allow for better 3D visualizations to take place as well as design projects to scale.
Automatic IPD adjustment
Finally, the Pico 4 Enterprise uses its eye-tracking cameras to determine the individual interpupillary distance (IPD) of each wearer. Therefore, it is not necessary to manually adjust the IPD. With the automated IPD setting it is easy to achieve the best possible viewing experience with your VR headset.
