Dugout ’44 – ’45

With Dugout ‘44 – ‘45 you become a soldier with a mission to discover and explore a dugout where allied forces were taking cover in the front lines. A particularly large World War II dugout was found during archeological research. The dugout was discovered at the Heijendaalseweg in Nijmegen, together with a lot of ammunition near the former monastery of the Fathers Sacramentines (klooster van de Paters Sacramentijnen). It’s a 2 meter deep pit where the allied forces had made 4 rooms, with walls built from ammunition boxes.

Experience the life of soldiers in a World War II dugout. The software simulates wartime living conditions in a historical setting. There are old WII objects lying around the dugout that you can move places and inspect while exploring the place.
